For example, if you have a 2017 JK then it is 7" eyes. JL and Gladiator are 8" unless special edition and it could be a 9". Unless you plan on removing your grill (not necessary) to install. 8" should be fine. If you have the color inserts on your headlights and usually take an 8" it will only need a 7".
