(1) Fasting plasma glucose (Requires at least 8 to 10 hours of fasting, with only water allowed).

Blood glucose concentrations are typically measured in two ways: one being mmol/L and the other mg/dL. These two units can be interconverted using a conversion factor of 18. To convert from mmol/L to mg/dL, multiply by 18; conversely, to convert from mg/dL to mmol/L, divide by 18.

3. Sample requirements:

(1) Ensure the alcohol has completely evaporated, as any residue can skew the results.

(2) The very first drop of blood should not be used for testing, as it may contain mixed tissue fluid.

4. Instructions for use:

Position the blood drop near the edge of the test strip to facilitate effective absorption by the test paper. Place the blood on the side of the strip that is closest to the small port located on the upper left.
Then tilt the device at a 45-degree angle towards the suction port.

5. Potential errors:

Expect a discrepancy of around 15% to 20%.

The testing result can be affected by improper handling, dietary changes, or emotional fluctuations. However, the margin of error for this blood glucose meter remains under 20%, which should not alter patient treatment plans.
